Laser 3D Embossing
Laser Engraving
3D embossing is a process that raises the material’s surface, creating a three-dimensional, tactile design.
Laser engraving uses a focused laser beam to burn, etch, or vaporize the material’s surface, creating permanent markings with incredible precision.
Workflow Stages
Order Acceptance
Time spent communicating with the client, discussing the design, and processing the order (client consultations, documentation, etc.)
Image Preparation
Time spent on creating or refining the image or design for engraving. This might include file format adjustments, resizing, or editing (if necessary)
Preparation of Workpiece
Time spent selecting, cleaning, and setting up the material (metal, wood, etc.) for engraving. This could include mounting the workpiece on the laser machine
Engraving Process
Time the laser machine takes to engrave the design onto the material
Order Processing Workflow for handling laser engraving on the customer’s material
This workflow outlines the step-by-step process for managing a laser engraving order using the customer’s own material. It includes everything from initial contact to the delivery of the engraved product.
Order Submission
Customer contacts Studio via phone, email, or an online portal to request laser engraving services on their material.
Design Confirmation
Customer sends Studio any artwork, logos, text, or images to be engraved, or requests the company to design something from scratch.
Material Delivery
Customer is responsible for delivering the material to be engraved. This can be done via a courier service, drop-off, or scheduled pick-up by Studio.
Material Preparation
The material is prepped for engraving, which may involve cleaning, masking (if necessary to protect certain areas), and positioning on the laser machine.
Engraving Process
The laser engraving process begins, with settings tailored to the material type (wood, metal, glass, etc.) to ensure depth, precision, and clarity.
Post-Engraving Finishing
After engraving, the material is cleaned of any residue or debris left by the engraving process. For certain materials, polishing or surface treatment may be applied to enhance the finish.
Final Inspection
A detailed inspection is conducted to ensure the engraving meets the customer’s requirements in terms of depth, precision, and overall quality.
Delivery and Payment
The finished product is either shipped back to the customer via courier or made available for pick-up.
Customer finalizes payment for order, which can be done before or after delivery, depending on the terms agreed upon.
